Schatzki's ring

Has anyone here been diagnosed with a Schatzki's ring (a narrowing in the esophagus), plus a hiatal hernia and still had the VSG surgery?

If so, can you please share your experience.

I was diagnosed with both.  The hiatal hernia was repaired during my VSG surgery and the Schatzki's Ring is still there I believe.  I've had no issues with it.  I never even knew that I had it to begin with.  If yours is bad, I'd ask your surgeon if it's something that can be worked on during your surgery.

Hello, I see you both did have the VSG and I was wondering how things have worked out with both issues. I too have both and am 2 weeks post op and experiencing difficulty swallowing and burping. I appreciate any help.
